Discover an easy way to help!
Discover an easy way to help your community – donate blood! While life for most New Yorkers is slowly returning to a new kind of normal, existence for others may depend on getting a life-saving transfusion. More than 75,000 blood donations and 1700 donated platelet units are needed to meet patient needs every week. Take center stage and directly impact lives by making a whole blood or automated red cell donation.
The final frontier may be cold, but you can bring a little warmth into the universe with just an hour or less of your time.
Appointments encouraged. Donors should bring their photo ID, must wear a mask, and must be 14 days symptom free if recovered from COVID-19. Donors with a positive diagnostic test or symptoms of COVID-19 in the last 14 days may not donate. After returning from any state not bordering New York, donors must quarantine and not donate blood per NYBC. New York Blood Center does not test for COVID-19.
