The Ladies Of Rock, Pop and Soul (1960s – 1980s)

Throughout time, there have been strong female vocalists who propelled their songs to fame due to their unique talents and charisma. These women could sing all genres, including the Girl Group style, soul, country, rock, pop, ballads and disco. Many wrote their own songs, which helped them on the road to fame. They owned the record charts and commanded the stage. In the 1960s the recording industry was run by men, but these ladies of rock, pop and soul, kicked down the doors, crashed the gates and showed the boys how to make a hit record!

Among the singers to be featured in this program will be Darlene Love, Janis Joplin, Dusty Springfield, Leslie Gore, Cher, Tina Turner, Donna Summer, The Shangri-La’s, and many more. Join us in celebrating these many women who rock!

Price is per car.
