Watch With WHBPAC
Join WHBPAC as we watch the wicked and the wacky, the worldly and the woebegone – together! This weekly assemblage of patrons and staff will leave you warm, well-rounded, and – on the whole – well prepared to weather whatever the fates might weave for us next.
The WHBPAC has curated a series of films available on streaming services you may already subscribe to, and will moderate a chat as patrons watch and comment in real-time. Designed to be tech easy (and easy on the wallet), this program will educate and inspire up to 100 people a night. Donations to the WHBPAC, a non-profit performing arts center that has been closed since March 2020, are very much welcomed.
Lauren Greenfield’s postcard from the edge of the American Empire captures a portrait of a materialistic, workaholic, image-obsessed culture. Simultaneously autobiographical and historical essay, the film bears witness to the global boom-bust economy, the corrupted American Dream, and the personal costs of late stage capitalism, narcissism, and greed.

“What we get is a film that is most fun when observing the cautionary lifestyles of the once-rich and adjacent-to-famous, but most insightful when it pulls outs of the fast lane and Greenfield’s eye turns inward on her own life.” The Playlist
