Third time’s a charm when That Motown Band brings the biggest hits of The Supremes, Aretha Franklin, The Temptations, and more to the Mollie Parnis Auditorium! This very special performance will feature Carla Cooke, daughter of soul legend Sam Cooke, and Brian Owens, powerhouse R&B singer. Also joining That Motown Band is Garfield Fleming, soul-singing scion of legendary status as a member of The Delfonics. Also performing with That Motown Band is Johnny Gale, Grammy nominated producer, composer, arranger, vocalist and guitarist extraordinaire. The Glenn Miller Orchestra
The Glenn Miller Orchestra
"In The Mood" for swing music?
Known as the most popular and sought after big band of all time, the Glenn Miller Orchestra continues to perform their greatest hits, including "In The Mood," "Chattanooga Choo Choo," "American Patrol," "A String of Pearls," "Little Brown Jug," "Pennsylvania 6-5000," "Tuxedo Junction," and their theme song "Moonlight Serenade" around the country and around the world.
The 17 member orchestra, their lead singers, and vocal group will perform their catalog of big band classics just the way they would have over 80 years ago when Glenn Miller stood in front of his band. It is a show that continues to transport audiences back in time and is as nostalgic as it is exciting.
