Important School Day Information

Considerations for School Day Performances

  • Be sure to advise your bus driver to drop off all passengers on the northbound side of Sunset Ave only. A representative of the WHBPAC will greet your bus and escort you and your students inside the theatre.
  • Seating begins one half hour before the performance start time. Performances cannot be held for those schools who do not arrive on time, so please try to be prompt.
  • To enjoy the entire performance, please have students use the restroom facilities before the performance begins. For a quicker dismissal, please have them use the restrooms during the Q&A.
  • After the performance, please remain in your seats. Your school will be dismissed one at a time once staff ensure that your bus is here and ready for you.
  • If your group needs to leave early, please advise Allison Frost at 631-288-2350, ext. 102 prior to the day of the performance. We will do our best to accommodate your request.

Theatre Etiquette

Please be sure to review proper theatre etiquette with your students prior to the performance.

  • Remain seated for the duration of the performance.
  • Unless your performance is an interactive show, students and chaperones should refrain from talking. While we recognize that students are often excited for what may be their first live theatre experience, we ask that your group remain as quiet as possible so as not to disrupt other audience members.
  • Our staff is on hand to assist you, but it is the chaperones/teachers’ responsibility to ensure their students are respectful. This includes keeping students seated, quiet, and engaged in a polite way.
  • Should a student become disruptive, we reserve the right to remove the student from the audience and have them wait with a teacher or chaperone in the lounge.
  • Please always be considerate of the other audience members, as well as the actors who are giving their heart and soul to perform for you.
  • Place all cell phones on silent during the performance. If a teacher or chaperone needs to take an emergency phone call, they should move out to the lobby or the lounge.
  • Cameras and recording devices are prohibited in the theatre.
  • Food, beverages, gum, and smoking are prohibited in the theatre.
