With unconditional value and respect for each and every member of our diverse community, in order to
ensure the physical, mental, and emotional safety of all students, artists, families, and patrons who take
classes, perform, work, or participate in any way in WHBPAC programs or events, we hereby issue this
bill of standards for participation and personal accountability for everyone who enters our property,
patronizes our programs, or participates in our community in any way – including all classes and events
produced or hosted by WHBPAC, whether occurring in the physical space of our theatre, remotely at
other locations, or on online forums. This includes youth students, their parents and adult guardians, adult students, and all visitors and patrons.
- RESPECT – Reciprocity of respect is the fundamental baseline for all interactions within and
among our community, for all participants engaging with instructors, staff, peers, talent, and
volunteers at all levels within all departments, at all times across all platforms: disrespect of any
kind is never an acceptable option. - ACTION AND SCOPE – Any incidents constituting or impacting harm to any member of the
community whether on WHBPAC property, at other event venues, or in online forum content,
will be considered grounds for intervention by WHBPAC faculty and staff, subsequently
reviewed and discussed with appropriate action. This includes defamatory, aggressive,
discriminatory, and inappropriate language or behavior. - ACCOUNTABILITY AND CONSEQUENCE – Any words, actions or combinations thereof that
causes harm to another member of the community – whether physical, mental, or emotional in
nature – will be seriously reviewed, discussed and consequently treated with utmost care and
consideration under our non-negotiable commitment to a safe and respectful environment. Any
behaviors that threaten these basic values, and therefore disrupt the implicit welfare of the
community at large will be grounds for consequence, including potential removal. - PROPERTY – All facilities, equipment, materials, props, and other forms of WHBPAC property
are to be treated appropriately and responsibly. If there is ever doubt or uncertainty as to what
constitutes such treatment, asking someone who knows first is the expected rule. - PROMPT, PRESENT, PREPARED – All participants are expected to be present for every class,
rehearsal and performance, and are to arrive on time for same, unless otherwise cleared with
instructors, staff, or other persons in charge prior to the start of the program, class, or rehearsal.
